How an event space renter went from tech panic to set up sorted with Data-Backed Entrepreneur®

Meet Kara
Kara, one of the co-owners along with her husband of the Brown County Barn Burner and Tanglewood Hideaway in Nashville, Indiana.
At the Barn Burner, they believe great hospitality is more than just providing a place to stay—it’s about creating an experience that feels effortless, welcoming, and intentionally designed. From thoughtful details to generous amenities, they’’ve built a space that makes group travel easy, stress-free, and memorable.
Before Data Backed Entrepreneur®
Kara joined my program, The Data-Backed Entrepreneur, excited to tackle it all.
But she came in, looked around, got started with high hopes, but ultimately wanted to “nope” right out of the tech setup part.

Deciding to make data a priority
Here’s how I handled it.
Kara owns multiple businesses (and has a family and all the other things in a full life), so she is BUSY.
She’s also really freaking smart. Like builds-successful-businesses-off-the-side-of-her-desk smart.
She knew she wanted data (told you she was smart), and was torn between the Done-For-You version of my program and DIYing it.
Ultimately, she went the DIY route because technically savvy and actually likes setting things like this up.
But then….
By the time she got access to the program, she was pretty slammed with work and was struggling to get it all done.
It all made sense to her. And she loved the support she got from me to help her customize. But, she wanted this set up yesterday and simply didn’t have the capacity to do it.
So, she reached out to me, and we got it sorted out.
She added on a VIP day with me, and on that day, I got 90% of the remaining work done for her.

After Data-Backed Entrepreneur®
By the end of the day, I sent her a breakdown of what got done, a few final loose ends she needed to tie up, and she was good to go.
I interviewed Kara recently, and here’s some of what she told me:
1️⃣ I love data— I just didn’t have systems to capture it easily.
“I like to understand what I’m looking at, so going through the setup myself mattered to me. But my tech stack is complicated, and life got in the way. It wasn’t the easiest timing.”
2️⃣ I let the fact that it felt so overwhelming just let me ride on vibes.
“I didn’t have any idea what was actually driving results. But at a certain point, I just knew: I can’t keep dragging this out. I need it in place now.”
3️⃣ Getting Ally to set it up was better for me. There were things I wasn’t even thinking of.
“It was the right blend: hands-on where I wanted to learn, supported where I needed to just get it done.”
4️⃣ Now I have a place to look. It automates the things I never did a good job of tracking on my own.
“It puts in black and white what I only used to feel. It short-circuits my own bad habits. And I don’t have the excuse of not using the data anymore.”

So if you’ve ever wondered if you can skip the tech part and still be a Data-Backed Entrepreneur®, the answer is hell freaking yes.
Just opt for the Done-For-You version. And let me and my team take care of the BTS stuff for you.
You’ll still learn how it all works.
You’ll still get all the data you need. (And some you wouldn’t have even thought to track.)
You’ll still learn to analyze and interpret the data yourself.
You just won’t have to spend hours in the back end of Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and Zapier which is a fun place to be if you’re me… but might feel like a living nightmare for you.
